The in-house advantage

Send us the drawing.
We build to spec.

Most precast suppliers can only sell you what’s in their catalog. We build the mold itself, in-house, so almost anything you can draw, we can cast. Custom is what we do best.

The in-house custom mold shop at Rocky Mountain Concrete

Why it matters

Everything under one roof.

When a supplier outsources mold-making, every custom job means delay, markup, and finger-pointing when something’s off. We design and fabricate every mold in the same building as our batching and finishing. That control is why we quote custom work fast, and deliver it on time.

What we can build

One-off, production, or anything between.

One-off custom pieces

A single heritage restoration crest, a feature medallion, a replacement piece to match an old profile. We build the mold for one if that’s what you need.

Repeatable production molds

Need fifty matching caps for a full facade? We build durable production molds for consistent, repeatable runs at volume.

Complex geometry

Curves, returns, reveals, profiles, and shapes other suppliers turn down. If it can be drawn, it can usually be cast.

Match an existing profile

Send a sample or a measured drawing and we’ll reproduce the profile, ideal for renovations, additions, and restorations.

How it works

From your drawing to your delivery.

01

Send the drawing

A spec, a shop drawing, a sketch, or even a photo of an existing piece. We review geometry, finish, and quantity.

02

We design the mold

Our mold makers engineer the form for clean release, accurate tolerances, and the finish you want.

03

Fabricate in-house

The mold is built in our shop, same roof as batching and finishing, so we control quality and timeline end to end.

04

Cast, finish, deliver

We cast to spec, finish, cure, and deliver on the date we commit to, across Western Canada and beyond.

Custom precast FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does a custom mold shop let you make?

A custom mold shop means we fabricate the mold itself, in-house, for whatever shape you need, whether caps, sills, columns, copings, medallions, signage, or one-off architectural pieces. We are not limited to a catalog of standard shapes.

Can you make a single one-off piece?

Yes. Because we build our own molds, a one-off custom piece is realistic and affordable. We routinely do single heritage and restoration pieces, not just large production runs.

How long does a custom precast order take?

Because mold fabrication, batching, and finishing all happen under one roof in Lumby, BC, we quote fast and avoid the months-long lead times common when molds are outsourced. Exact timing depends on the piece. Send us the drawing and we’ll give you a real date.

Can you match an existing or discontinued profile?

Often, yes. Send a measured drawing or a sample of the existing piece and our mold makers can reproduce the profile for renovations, additions, and restorations.

Have something custom in mind?

Send your drawing, sketch, or a photo of an existing piece. We’ll come back fast with pricing and a lead time.
