Section 03 45 00, Precast Architectural Concrete
Specify our wall caps, post caps, sills, copings, and custom architectural units under MasterFormat Section 03 45 00 (the same numbering used by Canada's National Master Specification). We provide an editable three-part guide specification, Part 1 General, Part 2 Products, Part 3 Execution, that you can drop into your project manual and tailor.

Portland Limestone Cement
Our standard mix uses Portland Limestone Cement, which carries a lower embodied carbon than ordinary Portland cement with no loss in performance.
Made in BC
Manufactured in Lumby, BC. Regional production shortens transport for Western Canada projects and can support regional-materials considerations.

A dense, freeze-thaw rated mix means a long service life. The most sustainable material is the one that does not need replacing.

What is RMC’s standard concrete strength?
Our standard architectural mix is designed for 35 MPa compressive strength at 28 days, air-entrained for freeze-thaw exposure (CSA A23.1 Class C-2). Test reports and cylinder breaks are available on request.
Under what CSI section is your product specified?
Our products fall under MasterFormat Section 03 45 00, Precast Architectural Concrete (the same numbering used by the National Master Specification in Canada). We can provide a three-part guide specification you can edit into your project manual.
Do you provide a guide specification and technical data sheet?
Yes. We provide a technical data sheet for the RMC Standard Mix and an editable three-part guide specification. Use the downloads on this page, or contact us and we will send the current versions.
What finishes and colours can you provide?
Standard finishes are smooth (as-cast), exposed aggregate, and sandblast or light blast. Colour is integral pigment, mixed through the body of the concrete, in 39 standard colours plus custom matches. Physical samples are available before production.
Can you produce custom profiles and shapes?
Yes. Our in-house mold shop builds custom molds, so we can cast custom profiles, sizes, and one-off architectural pieces to your drawings, with shop drawings provided for review before production.
Do you provide samples and mock-ups?
Yes. We provide physical colour and finish samples before production, and can provide mock-up or sample pieces on request to establish the approved range for a project.
