Window sill FAQ

Questions, answered.

What are precast concrete window sills?

A precast concrete window sill is the cast ledge that sits under a window opening. It sheds water away from the wall and gives the opening a crisp, durable finish. We cast ours in Lumby, BC in a dense, freeze-thaw rated mix.

What is an architectural sill?

Architectural sill is the trade term for the same product: a precast concrete sill cast to an architectural profile and finish, used under windows and at banding courses on a facade. Every sill on this page is an architectural sill, and our mold shop casts custom profiles when a project specifies one we do not stock.

What widths do your window sills come in?

We stock a full range of widths from 2 inches up to 27 inches, sorted on this page so you can filter to the size you need. If your opening calls for a width or length we do not stock, we cast it custom.

Can you make a custom window sill or lintel?

Yes. Send us your dimensions and our in-house mold shop will craft a custom sill or lintel to fit your exact opening. Custom is what we do best.

Where can I buy Rocky Mountain Concrete window sills?

Our sills are stocked by building centres and masonry suppliers across Western Canada. We supply through our dealer network rather than selling direct, so use our dealer locator to find the store nearest you and call them for stock and pricing.

Need a custom sill or special length?

Send us your dimensions and our team will craft a custom sill to fit. Custom is what we do best.
